Grand Canyon Raft Trips

Grand Canyon raft trips are an exciting way to get to intimately get to know the most famous canyon in the world! When rafting through the Grand Canyon you raft on the Colorado River. The Colorado River is the primary river of the American Southwest, draining somewhere in the vicinity of 242,000 square miles of land, from the states of Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California. In Arizona the Colorado River runs right through the Grand Canyon National Park.. Rafting through the Grand Canyon is very popular and trips are anywhere from 3 to 21 days, reservations are required in advance. The two types of river trips are commercial river trips (open to the public) and private river trips (or non-commercial river trips). The recommend type of rafting trip is the commercial rafted trip unless you are a very experienced white water rafting certified guide.

Commercial companies offer a variety of trips. Most trips take multiple days and the companies offer a variety of different types of rafts. The following concessionaires have been permitted to operate in Grand Canyon by the National Park Service.
